A setback is an opportunity to reject failure.

“Failure” is such a harsh word. Nobody likes it yet we all give in to to things that prevent us from accomplishing our goals–or even taking out the trash. πŸ™‚

Before we talk about “failure”, let’s talk about “success”. Why is there so much focus given to “success”? Is it that important? Can’t failure sometimes be a good thing?

As written in today’s Tiny Words. Big Life. post, the answer is a resounding “YES!”.

The word is “transformation”.

When we encounter difficulties that stop us and then we’re able to use that as motivation to go forward and overcome it, we’re transforming something bad into something good. We’re taking something that prevented us from reaping a benefit and turning it into something that propels us to receive it.

This transformation is spiritual also. When we seek God’s help and strength to overcome obstacles, God will use our desire and reliance on Him to make us more like Jesus. And after all, isn’t that what a Christian life is supposed to be?

The Tiny Words. Big Life. takeaway is this: Don’t take defeat personally. We all encounter it. In fact, we’re defeated more often than we’re victorious. It’s only through God can we turn defeats into victory!

Galatians 6 : 9

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
