Faith is something you grow from seeds. If you lose it, the devil has a garden from which they can be reclaimed.

Imagine the devil smiling as he piles up victories over your lack of faith. Go one step further… he’s out in your garden, aka your life, and he has a shovel. You can see him out there and he’s digging as fast as he can. Why? Because that’s what he does and you’re letting him do it.

The thing about faith is that it ebbs and it flows. When we are weak, which all of us are, we let our guard down and the devil is always right there to pounce on it–with his shovel.

Reading God’s word and praying are the only tools we have to protect our garden. Like the old tale of Peter Rabbit, grab your own shovel, like Mr. McGregor did, and chase away that “wascally wabbit”! (Okay, I’m getting my stories mixed up but you get the idea.)

Mark 11 : 22 – 24

22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
