The tough times get tougher the more you remind yourself how tough times are.

To be such an incredibly complex and powerful organ, the human brain is very easy to fool. You may not realize it, but we do it constantly throughout the day. “I can’t do that…” or “I’d better not tell my wife or she’ll be mad?”. Or how about this one? “Are things ever going to improve for us?”

Imagine a lump of playdough. Now, imagine that you’re going to shape it into your brain. (Sometimes, we feel as though that’s what our brain is but bear with me…)

We wake up in the morning energetic–ready to conquer the world. Let’s turn on the TV or hit the web to see what’s cooking in the world. It doesn’t take long to fill your head with enough negative ideas and visions that you’re two steps back before even leaving the house.

So, what’s the point of all this? It’s really very simple. If your brain is filled with negative stuff, it’s because you let it in there. Guard your mind. Don’t allow it to absorb all the bad things that the Evil One wants to put in there. After all, that’s his gateway to your soul. I say “Shut him down at the door.” Another way of saying that is “Get behind thee, Satan.”

Luke 12 : 25 – 26

25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
