The essence of time isn’t time itself but rather how you use it.

We’re all pressed for time. And no matter how hard you press it, you can never make more of it.

Have you ever heard the saying, “Time is of the essence”? You probably have. That really just about sums up a complete discussion on time. It is a finite allotment. We are only given so much. So, why do we waste a good portion of that doing things that do nothing more than just click the seconds on the clock?

This one question could very well be the most important issue of our mortal lives (and our spiritual life as well). If we don’t use our time wisely, and I say that in a very open and flexible manner, because what’s important to me, may not be important to you – the things we miss will never come by again.

In today’s Tiny Words. Big Life. Bible verses, King Solomon writes some of the most memorable and beautiful words in the history of the world.

Although The Byrds used these words in their famous song “Turn! Turn! Turn!” back in the 1960’s, these words need nothing more than whitespace to weave their way into your soul. In this blogmeister’s opinion, more beautiful words have never been written.

Today’s Tiny Words. Big Life. recommendation is to simply read the words. Slowly… and thank God for the time that you’ve had and that which is yet to come. And I beg you, and myself, make the most of what you have left. Strive to please God and take care of those that you love and love you. In the end, that’s all you’ll have left — after time has run out.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
