The fallacy with human judgment is that human judgment is not allowed as evidence in the courtroom of the final judge.

Deuteronomy 1:16-17

What does the Westminster Dog Show have in common with a speeding ticket?

Well, it’s not that a Scottish Terrier was driving his car too fast.

It’s judgment.

On that day, the Scottish Terrier was found to be the Best In Show and the speeder was found to be in too much of a hurry.

And by the way, does any traffic court judge ever believe a speeder when they say that they were on their way to pick up medicine for their ailing grandmother?

Yeah right, and the Scottish Terrier ate my homework… ๐Ÿ™‚

Today’s Tiny Words. Big Life. Bible verse finds Moses talking to God’s chosen people just before they enter the Land of Canaan. For their benefit, Moses is reminding them of their poor decisions and rebellious actions in the past and how important it is to be “fair” in judging matters of the people.

The same can be said for dogs shows and traffic court.

The Tiny Words. Big Life. takeaway is this: Pray to see judgment as an opportunity to give glory to God by way of being obedient to His command that we treat people fairly. Pray to have God remove any prejudice that we may have toward others, regardless of who they are and what they’ve done, so that you can act as Moses encouraged Israel to do.

And, when you do that, who knows – maybe your Heinz 57 purebred mutt will win a dog show…

Yeah right… if the other contestant is a cat!

Deuteronomy 1:16-17

16 And I charged your judges at that time, โ€œHear the disputes between your people and judge fairly, whether the case is between two Israelites or between an Israelite and a foreigner residing among you. 17 Do not show partiality in judging; hear both small and great alike. Do not be afraid of anyone, for judgment belongs to God. Bring me any case too hard for you, and I will hear it.โ€
