Those who don’t believe in the reality of God’s intervention have never rightfully considered their first breath.

Genesis 1:26-28

Stop.

Take a deep breath.

You can thank God for that.

How do I know that?

Because the Bible says so.

Let’s back up a step… Perhaps the question is “Why do I believe that?”

This post is my answer.

But first, let’s look at today’s Tiny Words. Big Life. quote.

When I wrote it, I was thinking of two basic groups of people.

Unbelievers and believers (who have doubts about God’s love and mercy).

If you’re an unbeliever (you don’t believe that you and the entire world we live in were created by God), then you must believe that the world was formed from a BIG BANG and that humans evolved from a single-cell organism that one day decided to crawl out of the slimy muck in the bottom of a pond.

And, if you’re a BIG BANGER, you believe in theoretical physics, a scientific process that involves math to calculate consistent theories about the physical world around us. To me, that sounds a little naive. If these scientists and their math are anything like the ones that created Common Core, the math used today in our school system, I wouldn’t trust them to calculate change from a nickel!

Now, to the believer who has lost faith…

Take another breath.

Did you feel it?

God is not done with you.

If you’re breathing, you have a purpose. God did not make us to simply use His oxygen. Nor did He make us to simply skate through life in an unfulfilled existence. He made us to be conquerors – to be confident of who we are and why we’re here.

Today’s Tiny Words. Big Life. Bible verse comes from the beginning. Here, we see the historical account of God creating the earth, the heavens, and man. In other words, the whole shebang (pun intended…)

If you believe that, you should also believe Jesus when he said in John 15:16, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

As Christians, we’ve been granted access to the power of God, through His son, Jesus Christ. If we’re struggling with using that power, it’s only because the Evil One is winning the battle within your spirit. You weren’t created to be defeated, but rather to live a victorious life.

The Tiny Words. Big Life. “AHA!” moment is this: I have the power to live victoriously! I have the power to overcome failures and disappointments because the victory has already been won. I will no longer allow the Evil One to dictate his defeated agenda within my life. And, once you’ve said these things – Pray. Tell God you’ve done it. Ask Him for the strength that He promised.

And, you can believe this:

It really is that easy… (unlike adding 1 + 1 using Common Core).

Genesis 1:26-28

26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
