Be sure that any generalizations you make are not the result of laziness or unconcern for seeking the truth.

We can be very lazy. We live in a fast-paced world that will zap the strength of even the most fit people. Today’s Tiny Words is not about exercise however. It is about being spiritually lazy.

When you generalize about someone or a group of people, not only are you telling the world that you can’t think for yourself but you’re showing the world that you don’t care enough to take the time to find out for yourself.

The truth is very often hard to find. It takes time and effort. Sometimes, even after you’ve found it, you find you still don’t know everything you need to for a honest perspective.

Strive to know as much as possible about things you form an opinion on, which is probably just about everything. Don’t be a “truth-sloth”.

Proverbs 14 : 6

The mocker seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge comes easily to the discerning.
