Lemonade is a lesson in life that proves something very sweet can be made from something very bitter.

Who doesn’t like lemonade?

I remember as a kid… setting up lemonade stands in my family’s front yard. Truth be known, my Mother not only made the product but she was my biggest customer, along with my Dad. When I think about it, this picture of growing up goes along very nicely with the meaning of today’s Tiny Word blog.

Although I can’t personally figure out how they do it but some people can eat lemons straight up. The open their mouth and take a big bite. The very image of that makes my mouth pucker and shut down… quickly.

You see, life very often hands out lemons. And, most of the time, we have no choice, or we act like that’s the case, and we eat it. Our mouths pucker and shut down but we eat it anyway.

As a Christian, God never said we wouldn’t have our share of lemons to deal with. He did; however, promise us the we would never have to eat them alone. He is with us every step of the way. And about those tummy aches… After we eat a lemon, peeling and all, our stomachs will probably begin to wonder why we did that. God’s presence is the only medicine that will make your tummy feel like it just consumed a nice, fat cinnamon roll–not that nasty lemon that we just ate.

So, ask God to turn your lemons into lemonade. Then, take a sip of the sweetness of His love.

1 Peter 5 : 10

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
